Smyrna Spring Jonquil Festival to be Held this Weekend
It’s going to be a beautiful weekend in Atlanta, so why not join Fontis Water at the City of Smyrna’s Spring Jonquil Festival. The festival will take place April 26 and 27 on the beautiful Village Green in downtown Smyrna, Georgia. The festival has been going strong for more than 25 years and will feature 175 hand-made arts & crafts booths, local non-profits, sponsors, puppet shows, live music, plenty of festival foods, and all types of children’s activities. There will be local entertainment on the stage in front of the library, and of course plenty of Fontis Water!
Looking for some great deals on books? The Friends of the Smyrna Library will also be on site hosting their annual book sale.
A crowd favorite, Peter Hart will be bringing his Atlanta Puppet Show to the Spring Jonquil Festival! Peter’s festival puppet show is a favorite of the young and old. He has unique marionettes and puppet characters that sing, dance, juggle, play fiddle, break apart and come back together, squirt water, and are even launched by catapult across the stage!
J. Scott Thompson, one of the founding members of Peachtree Station (voted Atlanta Magazine’s Best Country Band 2000), will entertain you with all your favorite songs on the Village Green lawn adjacent to the Jonquil Food Court.
Artisans are from all over the southeast feature their own hand-made crafts, paintings, clothing, furniture, jewelry and much more.
And of course no festival is complete without cotton candy, candy apples, corn dogs, hand-dipped ice cream, snow cones, polish sausage, chicken sandwiches, and BBQ. And did we mention Fontis Water? The interactive children’s area includes inflatables, sand art and much more. We hope you will join us for this fun filled event, and please stop by the Fontis booth and say hello!
