Duluth Fall Festival
Tomorrow kicks of the 32nd annual Duluth Fall Festival, and we can’t wait to see you all there! This is one of our favorite festivals of the year because it’s got everything! There are arts and crafts, a carnival, entertainment, a silent auction and even a 5K road race. Didn’t we say it has everything? And the people! People come from miles to attend this one-of-a-kind weekend, and they are some of the nicest festival goers you could hope to meet.
The festival began in 1983 and has changed immensely over the years. What began as an event with three committees, now is an event that draws close to 100,000 people and those committees? There are now 50! In the first years, the organizers were thrilled with no more than 40 arts and craft and food vendors. Today there are more than 350 vendors, making this one of the most successful festivals in the Southeast. The proceeds from the event are used to improve and beautify Historic Downtown Duluth.
Festivals are hosted for many reasons, but the Duluth Fall Festival has a mission statement and we want to share their mission with you.
Festival Mission Statement
To promote the general welfare and beautification of downtown Duluth.
To unite citizens and newcomers within the community to work together for the common good.
To present wholesome, entertaining, annual events that will provide lasting memories for all of us.
To make Duluth a better place to live, work, play, and call home.
