July in Atlanta Means It’s Time for Heat and Road Races

July in Atlanta may be known for some extreme temperatures, but it’s also a time for road races. From 5Ks, to 10Ks and even 1 mile fun runs, there are typically multiple road races every weekend and Fontis Water can be found at some of your favorites. This weekend we are the official water sponsor of The Sports Fanatic Race, which is a part of the Kennesaw Grand Prix race series.  The race is presented by The Dave Krache Foundation benefiting local kids in need to allow them to play the sports they love. The Dave Krache Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that raises money to pay for local kids in need to play the sports they love. Next weekend you can find us at the Summer Steamer 10k/5k. This race will take place in Kennesaw at Barrett Summit and offers a race for almost all runners. If you are interested in registering for this race, do so before the price goes up at midnight tonight. On July 22, why not meet us at Due West United Methodist Church for their annual Color Me Free 5K? Proceeds from the race go to free child victims of trafficking. Registration is open now, and they are also looking for volunteers on the day of the race. Volunteers under the age of 18 are welcome and encouraged to volunteer as color throwers, cheerleaders or at water stations. If you’re interested in volunteering at the Color Me Free 5K Color Run, please send an e-mail to sriesing@gacares.org with the area you’re interested in serving. And the best thing about all of these races? Fontis Water will be on hand to quench your thirst and keep you hydrated in the July heat.
