Staying active is pretty easy with these 70 degree temperatures, but what about when the temps drop to freezing and below? Do not fret, there are many activities being held in the next few weeks that can help you stay physically fit in the cold weather months, and Fontis Water is proud to be a part of your training.

February has several great races including the Hot Chocolate 15k/5k which takes places February 2, 2020. This race takes place at Centennial Olympic Park in Atlanta. On February 11, metro Atlanta residents can take part in the Cobb Marietta Junior League’s Marietta Mardi Gras 5k Fun Run + Walk. The 11th Annual race will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2020, at the Historic Marietta Square. The 5k is a Peachtree Qualifier and USATF certified. With a 5k, 1k and Tot Trot to boast, it’s a festive family-friendly race that is fun for everyone!

Don’t like to run in the cold? How about a work out at a gym? Weight training, interval training and high impact classes can all be found at your local gym. Several gyms throughout the area actually have
Fontis Water on hand like CrossFit in Marietta. If yours does not, be sure to bring your water bottle from home!

Other great ideas for staying fit in the winter? Nothing like raking leaves to get your hear rate up. You can even walk the stairs in your home or apartment complex. Typically take the elevator at work? Drop that during the winter months and take the stairs! You will thank us when the warm spring weather returns and you are fit and ready to go! Other great workout ideas can be found at Active’s website. They suggest everything from ice skating to mall walking! The ideas are endless. However, no matter which way you decide to stay active, remember to always have Fontis Water with you.
