What to do with all that leftover candy?

It’s November 1 and all around your house are bright orange, brown, blue and silver packages!  YES, it’s the dreaded leftover Halloween candy.  You don’t want to throw it out, but you have no idea what to do with the remaining treats.  We searched the web high and low and found some great ideas we wanted to share.

One that was particularly interesting was to turn those treats into healthy snacks.  Healthy you say?  Yes, why not dump those M&Ms into a bowl of nuts and create your own sweet and salty trail mix.  Another great suggestion was to fill celery stalks with cream cheese and sprinkle with Peanut M&Ms!  We say YUM to all of these ideas.

Not sure what to do with those Reese’s Peanut Butter cups, apparently they make wonderful additions to cake batter and can even be used for decorations on the top of cakes and cupcakes.  And candy corn?  Why not use it at Thanksgiving for a new twist on an old favorite recipe … yams or sweet potatoes with candy corn topping!  Read more about these entertaining ideas and many others at the Parenting website.
